When building apps it is funny the stuff that gives me a mental block, and coming up with fake data for screenshots or social media posts usually stops me in my tracks. I don’t often want 15 random names, but when I need them I am terrible at generating them. I know of the great Nuget package Bogus but that requires me to build a utility which feels like overkill for generating some fake addresses on the fly. And as you know I hate having to reach for a random website.
Enter from a random door… Tray Random! This little app does the little job humans are surprisingly bad at of generating random content. It can do dice rolling, GUIDs, lorem ipsum, and so much more it is truly shocking! Brian Chavez, author of Bogus, has really done a great job!
Happy Tray-tober!
