The classic Windows clock does its job pretty well, but what neat little extras could get added to make an awesome clock in the system tray. Animated notify icons showing stopwatch and timer progress. Glanceable information has always been the purpose of the tray and now timers can be glanced easily.
There are a million timer apps out there. This app isn’t to replace them, it is to experiment around the system tray UX of Windows. What works, what is useful, what doesn’t work, what APIs are missing, what work-arounds are not ideal. Learn through building and I hope you share feedback with me so I can learn through how these apps work in the real world.
